When is this route promising?
A technical Cool Roof is first a waterproof roof system and only then a white finish. Reflection values, pollution, insulation, building use and the complete roof structure determine whether and how much thermal benefit is achievable.

Does a white roof always save energy?+
No. A white surface can limit sun absorption, but the building savings depend, among other things, on insulation, ventilation, cooling, use and maintenance.
Are all white roof coatings technically the same?+
No. Chemistry, primer, layer thickness, mechanical properties, water load, reflection and documentation can vary greatly.
Does the reflection always remain the same?+
Pollution and aging affect reflection. Cleanability, maintenance and, where available, outdated values are part of the assessment
