Six parts of a complete inquiry
A system must be assessed as a coherent structure. Primer, membrane, possible reinforcement, protective layer and connection to other materials together form the performance.
- Use function and exposure
- Permitted surfaces and preparation
- Minimum dry film thickness or consumption
- Detail principles and bilges
- Protection during subsequent construction
- Acceptance criteria and file
Measurable subsurface conditions
Include limit values and measurement methods for moisture, cohesion, flatness and contamination. Also write down who measures, when release takes place and how deviations are handled.
Equivalent is demonstrably equivalent
An alternative is only comparable if the same performance, system components, processing conditions and supporting documents are offered. Merely comparing on kilograms or price per square meter is insufficient.
